OOTD: The Sky Garden Edit

Earlier this summer, I decided to go and visit The Sky Garden after seeing so many amazing photos decorated all over my Instagram feed. Unlike the last time, the day blessed us with nice weather making the views from such an innovative building look even more stunning. Of course, the river Thames stayed its murky mud colour but that did not spoil the spectacular skyline from thirty-fifth floor.

The venue is most definitely a garden with a view! I thought the beautiful construction mimicked the impressive sketches often showcased in episodes of Grand Designs.

Clearly it would have been rude to leave without using the architectural, plant filled building as a backdrop for my outfit of the day.

We then walked a short mile or so towards Tower Bridge. Briefly before you reach sight of the bridge, there was this building, which, to me, looked historical but I did not actually know what it was. Woops!

Opposite this was a food stall selling freshly battered fish and chips. So quintessentially British, the smell of food and sights of families together picnicking made for a lovely view and atmosphere.

Watching the bridge open and close was pretty cool too!

We then headed to Piccadilly. On my previous visit to Picidally some months ago, I forgot to visit M&M World and so this time around we decided to pop in. It was lively and colourful but extremely busy.

All the walking, quite naturally, made us hungry. With that in mind, we opted to dine at Caffe Concerto. My verdict? The food was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant because the food was tasty and reasonably priced considering its location. For non-alcoholic drinkers I would suggest trying the Pina Colada mocktail.

Buckingham Palace was our next stop.

Finally, the day was finished with a stroll through St James Park.

If, like me, you are a fan of scenic views, I would definitely advise visiting The Sky Garden. Head over to their website at skygarden.london if you are interested in checking out such a novel venue.

P.S: To all the girls who can walk all day wearing heels I salute you.

Time to say goodbye to summer,

Fahmida x
